Puffy face
Double chin
Multiple sized pants to fit in
Freckles, moles
Flabby arms
Pointy elbows that could cause harm
Chubby cheeks
Baby face
Bad postured back, no form of grace
Saggy boobs
No collar bone
Stretch marks have a forever home
Soft belly
Thick thighs
Who gives a shit? No more lies
My body is mine
A place to call home
I honor its journey
I respect its past
I have hope for its future
I listen to its signals
I nurture and move it
I have gratitude for its strength
Through trauma and pain
Through giving birth to my child
Through sticking with me even as I’ve abused it
I choose not to abuse it anymore
I choose to accept it
As it is now
And as it will be as I take care of it
I’m not afraid
These layers gave protection
But I’m strong enough to come out of hiding
And accept my full potential
As an abundant human being
As an example to my girls
As a sexual creature
As a woman
As a mother
As a friend
As Me
Beautiful!

When I visited this blog for the first time I saw none of the above but rather a beautiful, young and vibrant face (you look like my old college roommate!). I wish I had that “baby face” it will serve you well as the years creep up. I applaud your courage and honest and your blog is beautifully designed. I love the graphic.
